Emergency Services (911): For All Emergencies Dial 911
This is the primary emergency number for police, fire, and medical emergencies. Calls are answered by the St. Mary Parish 911 Communications Center, which dispatches the appropriate local responders for life-threatening situations, fires, crimes in progress, and serious medical events.
Morgan City Police Department (Non-Emergency): (985) 384-2310
The Morgan City Police Department provides law enforcement services within city limits, including patrol, investigations, traffic enforcement, and community safety. This number should be used for non-emergency situations that still require police assistance.
Morgan City Fire Department: (985) 380-4611
The Morgan City Fire Department responds to structure fires, vehicle fires, hazardous conditions, rescue calls, and fire prevention activities. Fire stations are dispatched through 911, but this number reaches the department directly for administrative or non-emergency matters.

Ochsner St. Mary is the primary hospital serving Morgan City and includes an emergency department for acute medical care. It provides inpatient, outpatient, surgical, and emergency medical services to the community.
Acadian Ambulance Service – Morgan City: (985) 851-2107
Acadian Ambulance provides emergency medical services, ambulance transport, and advanced life support throughout Morgan City and St. Mary Parish. Emergency ambulance response is dispatched through 911; this number is for office or non-emergency inquiries.
St. Mary Parish Coroner’s Office: (985) 384-9964
The Coroner’s Office is responsible for death investigations, death certifications, and determining cause and manner of death within St. Mary Parish. This office works closely with law enforcement, hospitals, and emergency responders.

This office coordinates parishwide emergency preparedness, planning, hazard mitigation, and homeland security efforts, including community alerts, disaster response planning, evacuation routes, and emergency notifications. It works with local, state, and federal partners to prepare for and respond to disasters.
